From Metropolis to the latest blockbuster, the film industry continues to amaze us with bigger and better special effects, set design, direction and storylines. The industry is packed full of creative minds that keep on finding new ways to challenge our perceptions of reality. Intellectual property (IP) supports their innovation, enabling them to generate an income and continue to push the boundaries. But what happens if we don't value IP? Creating Movie Magic is an educational resource using the film industry as a way to explore ingenious design and technology skills, and the career opportunities in one of the biggest employment sectors in the UK.

Updating our resources

We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.

"As an alternative provision for learners who are not in mainstream school we use your resources in a slightly different way as they generally find it hard to watch a full length film. They are, however fantastic. "
