Book now for free Women in Animation screenings across the UK

This March, we're hosting a number of Spring Screenings across the UK under the theme of Women in Animation, in support of International Women's Day on 8 March. This programme is also part of Anim18 - a celebration of British Animation throughout 2018, led by Film Hub Wales, Chapter (Cardiff), the BFI Film Audience Network and project partners across the UK.

Each screening hopes to excite young audiences by highlighting a variety of career opportunities within the film industry, including VFX supervisor, Puppeteer, Producer and Director.

Titles in the programme include:

• The Prince of Egypt, directed by Brenda Chapman, the first woman to win an Oscar for Best Animated Feature
• Coraline featuring the work of Georgina Hayns, Character Fabrication Supervisor
• The Adventures of Prince Achmed, an archive spectacular from Internationally renowned Animator, Producer, Director and Writer Lotte Reiniger
• A Silent Voice, an anime hit from Director Naoko Yamada
• My Life as a Courgette, from scriptwriter Celine Sciamma
• and Ex_Machina, featuring the work of Oscar®-winning VFX Supervisor Sara Bennett's .
