Students work with the fantastical eight minute silent film A Trip to the Moon (1902, U) as stimulus to research and create a brochure to encourage space tourism, and prepare and run a press conference for the film's astronauts. This resource was produced to accompany the BFI's Sci-Fi Days of Fear and Wonder blockbuster season and provides tools and templates to support students to access and interpret this classic film text.

Updating our resources

We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.
