Harold is a cartoon boy living in an animated world with his magical purple crayon. Whatever he draws using the crayon instantly comes to life. As he gets older he becomes more creative and ambitious in his drawings, going from smaller objects to grand cities. Now an adult, he decides that he wants to visit the real world, and draws a door that allows him to enter it alongside his animal friends Moose and Porcupine who transform into humans. Harold befriends a woman named Terri and her son Mel who help him to navigate his new surroundings which come with all sorts of challenges including a man named Gary who wants to use Harold's crayon for evil.

Synopsis
