French (English subtitles)
A bunch of wealthy, mean-spirited Parisian men hold regular, competitive dinner parties where the winner is the one who can bring the stupidest guest - the title translates as "The Dinner of Idiots". But, in this funny, farcical twist on the odd couple format, one of the regular's plans goes horribly awry and he, by convoluted means, gets stuck with the dimmest, most irritating man he's ever met.
Timeless portrait of the way that power works, set in the cut-throat world of journalism in 1950s New York, focusing on a ruthless gossip columnist.
