Synopsis

Star Danny Kaye shines in this musical comedy about a put-upon man with a wild imagination. Book editor Walter Mitty is pushed around by everyone in his life, so escapes into his own fantasy world where he is the hero. But when a woman who repeatedly appears in these daydreams suddenly appears in his real life, Mitty becomes caught up in an all-too-real adventure. Kaye effortlessly carries this film, and his character's various alter egos offer a platform for his great comedic talent.
