Synopsis

Director Manish Tiwary's film is an often frank take on the lives on young Indian people today. It focuses on two students from either sides of the tracks: Apurv, a playboy type more interested in chasing women than getting grades, and Sanjay, an earnest young man from the poor state of Bihar with political ambitions. While containing the usual Bollywood staples, the film also takes a look the encroachment of western morality in an India where traditional class divisions are being eroded.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
