You will be gripped by this drama in which Cate Blanchett is a teacher-turned-idealist/terrorist who in revenge for her husband's overdose bombs a local drug dealer. Blanchett is as always terrific, as we watch her struggle with her conscience having been arrested for the murder and then begin to fall for the officer in charge of her. The enthralling turn of events may even lead you towards the films of the great Polish film-maker Krzysztof Kieslowski, who had outlined this story, the first of a planned trilogy alongside Purgatory and Hell, before his premature death.
This gripping biographical drama will wipe out memories of dull history lessons, with a spectacular performance from star Cate Blanchett at its heart.
