Synopsis

Gripping and deliberately old-fashioned account of the final mission of a US bomber plane during World War II. It is the Memphis Belle's 25th flight into enemy territory: if it's successful, the crew will get to go home as heroes but the odds are not in their favour. We get to know the crew members as individuals, find out their hopes and dreams, so the tension is almost unbearable as we wait to see if they make it back alive.

What our educators say

"The art of discussion has improved and the breadth of language used has been enhanced by the variety of films watched, all of which we order free from the Into Film website."
