Synopsis

What makes a bad life? That is the question Henry Van Cleave faces in this film: he has just died and arrived at the front office to Hell, convinced that his rotten behaviour has doomed him. But the Devil asks him to look back over his life and think about whether he belongs there. This unusual comedy-drama makes the case for a man who judges himself to have been selfish, spoilt and disgraceful in the way he treated women.

PLEASE BE AWARE: After ordering Heaven Can Wait the disc you will receive will be marked as being a PG certificate - however, this relates to the extra features on the DVD and not the film itself, which is certified with the BBFC as a U.

Into FIlm has consulted the BBFC, and their guidance is that as long as a club leader screens only the film (and not additional features or audio commentaries etc), Heaven Can Wait can be treated as a U certificate in a school setting.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
