Action and Adventure
This lively adventure is set in 18th-century Scotland, during a turbulent period in British history. A visit to his uncle's house to claim his inheritance sparks a terrifying chain of events for young David Balfour - he is narrowly avoids a murder attempt, is almost sold into slavery, comes close to drowning and is then caught up in the chaos after the end of a civil war. Luckily, he has Alan Breck by his side, a true friend and a deadly swordsman who knows how to survive in troubled times.
PLEASE BE AWARE: After ordering Kidnapped the disc you will receive will be marked as being a PG certificate - however, this relates to the extra features on the DVD and not the film itself, which is certified with the BBFC as a U.
Into Film has consulted the BBFC, and their guidance is that as long as a club leader screens only the film (and not additional features or audio commentaries etc), Kidnapped can be treated as a U certificate in a school setting.
