One of the things cinema does best is the chase, and this offering from director Steven Spielberg is one of the great chase movies. Lou Jean has been told her child is going to be handed over to foster parents, so she helps her husband escape from jail and they go to "save" their kid. Along the way they end up taking a hostage and being pursued by hundreds of police cars. They are in real danger, but the public is on their side.
