This is a beautiful animated adaptation of Geoffrey Chaucer's 14th-century masterpiece, packing three of the tales into three half-hour episodes, tied together by scenes about the pilgrims travelling. Nine of the 22 tales in Chaucer's work are presented here, and different directors were used for each tale, so they each have their own distinctive style - something that matches Chaucer's ability to give the tellers of the tales their own voices. A welcome introduction to an important text in English literature.
The Princess Bride takes apart the traditional damsel-in-distress story and puts it back together again. A classic for children of all ages.
