Synopsis

Based on the true story of an attempt to assassinate Hitler by a group of German military rebels in 1944, Tom Cruise stars as Colonel von Stauffenberg, who led the operation. A top secret plot is hatched to plant a bomb in Hitler's rural bunker, take over the army and make a bid for peace. Though controversial for having English-speaking actors playing key German historical figures, Valkyrie is a fascinating and gripping story, loaded with the suspense and thriller elements of a classic Hollywood action film.
