Action and Adventure
In this spectacular disaster movie, Pierce Brosnan stars as Dr Harry Dalton, a vulcanologist traumatised by the death of his fiancée in an eruption four years previously, who is called to the town of Dante's Peak in the American northwest to investigate some strange activity in the area. Here he finds dying vegetation, extremely high water acidity and, shockingly, a couple found boiled to death in a hot spring, and concludes that a huge eruption of the 'dormant' volcano looming over town is on its way. The news would be disastrous for the town's tourist business so the locals want to keep it quiet, but the volcano has other plans...
