Synopsis

Most screen versions of Lewis Carroll's strange story use the books just as a starting point, but this one actually sticks closely to the original source as young Alice falls into bizarre world of giant talking caterpillars and playing cards come to life. Under the make-up and costumes lurk many of Britain's greatest actors and comedians, taking on the iconic roles of the March Hare, the Gryphon, the Caterpillar and many more.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
