As film noir's go, Leave Her To Heaven is perhaps one of the most disturbing. Stunning 1940s pin-up Gene Tierney stars as Ellen, a scheming psychopath who has a problem with jealously. After ditching her fiancé and getting married to man who reminds her of her dead father, it becomes obvious to her new husband that Ellen has a few issues. Especially when some seriously suspicious accidents happen. Strangely for a film noir, Leave Her To Heaven was shot in Technicolor, but it's just as powerful as those shot in black and white. A fascinating portrait of obsession.
