The career of German animator, Lotte Reiniger didn't end with her much celebrated 1926 film, The Adventures of Prince Achmed. In fact, she moved to Britain in the 1930s and went to make a series of fairy-tale films using her silhouette animation technique. You'll find all your old favourites here, complete with wonderful music tracks and charming narration. Disc 1 features 10 stories including Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Puss in Boots and Aladdin and his Magic Lamp. Please note, 192 mins is the total running time of Disc 1 & 2.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
