Synopsis

Burlesque is the frothy and fun story of small-town girl Ali, who arrives in LA with dreams of stardom and lands a job as a cocktail waitress at a struggling burlesque lounge. When the shy Ali reveals her brilliant singing voice, it takes everyone - including the venue's owner, Tess, and some jealous rivals - by surprise. But will Ali's talent be enough to turn the club's fortunes around? Featuring lavish costumes, show-stopping song and dance numbers and plenty of backstage drama, Burlesque is an exuberant homage to classic Hollywood musicals.
