Synopsis

This feel-good comedy-drama follows a group of British people in their 60s and 70s who relocate to India, having been enticed by advertisements promising a life of inexpensive, exotic leisure at the newly restored Marigold Hotel retirement home. Their new home turns out to be decidedly less luxurious than they’d hoped, but full of all sorts of transformative relationships and experiences. Judi Dench and Bill Nighy feature among a cast robust with British acting greats.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
