Kate and Charlie's marriage is built around their initially happy, if hazy, habit. Though they are both alcoholics though they manage to lead largely functional lives, punctuated by nightly partying and boozy nights in. Kate is a schoolteacher and Charlie a music critic. When Kate's quest for highs leads her to illegal drugs, she realises it is time to clean up her act, and expects Charlie to follow suit. The struggle for sobriety places a strain on their relationship as the journey through rehabilitation proves less than romantic. This drama won the Special Jury Prize at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
