This powerful Norwegian drama focuses on recovering 34-year-old addict Anders, who is grappling with the realisation that his potential to lead a happy, fulfilling and productive life is at risk. Though determined to stay clean of drugs, he is filled with dread at the prospect of failure. In an attempt to bring some order to his life, he visits Oslo to interview for a job and reconnect with some friends. This is an intelligent, sympathetic and movingly realistic portrait of the obstacles and stigmatisation faced by those trying to rehabilitate back into society, which conveys the destruction of addiction while showing the need for community support networks.
