Synopsis

When Welsh music fan Dixie stumbles across unsigned band The Premature Congratulations, he thinks he’s found the next big thing. Along with his girlfriend Shell he heads to London, determined to become their manager and mould them – their name shortened to The Prems – into superstars. His naive, wide-eyed enthusiasm and low-tech, old-fashioned methods such as demo cassette-tapes bemuse the industry big-wigs, but as obstacles crop up his can-do spirit is irrepressible. This charming light comedy about the music business grew out of a series of YouTube videos by the film’s writer Jonny Owen, who also charismatically stars as Dixie.
