Synopsis

Dylan is a young lad living on a remote island in north Wales who travels down to Cardiff with his girlfriend Meleri and a friend for a few days of clubbing, shopping and a local rock festival. Things soon go wrong and Dylan finds himself immersed in a culture of boorish drinking and meaningless sexual encounters, as Meleri returns home heartbroken. Dylan meets Alis, who impetuously agrees to live on the island with him, but he discovers that he is not as over his last relationship as he’d thought. A raw, believable portrait of teenage confusion and a rural community rarely seen in films. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Llanc ifanc yw Dylan sy'n byw ar ynys anghysbell yng ngogledd Cymru sy'n teithio i lawr i Gaerdydd gyda'i gariad Meleri a ffrind am ychydig ddyddiau o glybio, siopa a gŵyl roc lleol. Ond mae pethau yn mynd o'i le yn gyflym iawn ar ol cyrraedd a Dylan yn ymgolli mewn diwylliant o yfed a rhyw. Ar ol i Meleri dychwelyd adref gyda’i chalon wedi torri, mae Dylan yn cyfarfod Alis, sy'n ei cytuno i fyw ar yr ynys gydag ef, ond mae'n darganfod ei fod ef ddim dros ei berthynas olaf. Portread credadwy o ddryswch arddegau a chymuned wledig nas gwelir yn aml mewn ffilmiau.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
