D.A.R.Y.L. is a robot boy created by the American Government. Set free by a sympathetic scientist, he finds a family to live with who encourage his human abilities. Wary of his release the Government track D.A.R.Y.L down forcing him to find a way to outwit them in order to continue living with his adopted family. The film’s visual effects and computer wizardry may feel a bit outdated compared to modern sci-fi but the film remains an entertaining and accessible entry point into some complex scientific ideas.
