Company commander Claus and his men are stationed in an Afghan province, attempting to help keep the peace. Despite a young family back home in Demark sorely missing their husband and father, he shows resolve and courage in the face of difficult circumstances which range from unhappy soldiers to frightened locals and reports of the enemy closing in. During an attack, these stresses come to the fore, leading Claus to make a drastic decision within the heat of battle which could have irreversible consequences for himself, his family and others all around him.
