Synopsis

As Jane’s husband Bill returns to their isolated home on the New Mexico plains injured with gunshots from the renowned Bishop Boys gang, he warns her they are hot on his heels on the hunt for them both. Needing help, she seeks out her disgruntled ex-fiancé Dan and the story of how their life ended up here unfolds as they prepare for the gang’s arrival. Beset with tension and emotion, flashbacks reveal their stories providing context to Dan’s anger and the violent showdown at the film’s crescendo. A nostalgic, if a little conventional, nod to the Western genre through its narrative of honour and revenge, evil gang members and sun-bleached vast, dusty plains, the film places a refreshingly strong and defiant female at its core.
