Curtis is a father and husband residing in the comfortable community of rural Ohio. However, when he begins to experience disturbing visions of a storm which forecast death and destruction, his mental health is called into question. Despite seeking medical help and undertaking counselling to tackle these hallucinations, the images refuse to disappear from sight and so he takes to building a shelter despite the scorn of his peers. With his family, sanity and standing in the community all under threat of being torn apart, Curtis must make difficult decisions in this tense and visually-impressive film, featuring brilliant lead performances.
