Two decades after the events of the first film, a group of college students head back into the woods of the Black Hills of Maryland. Inspired by grainy YouTube footage which has surfaced, they are led by James, the younger brother of Heather who disappeared more than twenty years ago. Along with a couple of conspiracy-hungry locals, the group set off to discover what truth there is to the Blair Witch mythology. But the further into the woods they head, the more it becomes clear that the legend is all too real. Cleverly updating the story and making ingenious use of recent advances in amateur filmmaking technology, this is a worthy successor to the original, full of jumps, scares and foreboding.
Disturbing low-budget horror about three students who go missing and all that's left of them is the footage they were filming about a local legend.
