Wilson is a lonely and neurotic middle-aged man with a habit of speaking his mind, regardless of the trouble it can get him into. Following the death of his father, he reconnects with his estranged ex-wife who surprises him with the news that he has a teenage daughter who was given up for adoption at birth. Elated, Wilson tries to track her down and forge a relationship, although his methods are unconventional and the consequences unexpected. Adapted from a graphic novel, the film laughs at, but is sympathetic towards its central character’s social dysfunction, anchored by an engaging performance from Woody Harrelson.
