Turkish (English subtitles)
In the vibrant Turkish city of Istanbul hundreds of thousands of cats have roamed the streets for thousands of years, wandering in and out of people’s lives and homes in a way that only felines can. This documentary follows seven of them, each with very distinctive personalities (and sometimes a fair dose of naughtiness), as they criss-cross the city, adopting human company here-and-there and providing a distinctive perspective on their surroundings. Some of the cats live a life of spoiled luxury at the hands of their indulgent human friends, others are left to fend for themselves in often harsh conditions. The film provides a fascinating insight into their lives and the unique relationship between cats and humans.
