Thriller, War Films
This tense psychological thriller sees two American soldiers trapped under fire from an enemy sniper in the Iraqi desert. Sergeant Shane Matthews is an American sniper and Sergeant Allen Isaac is his spotter, with the duo sent to investigate a pipeline construction site. After patiently waiting for 22 hours, they determine that the site is clear, but come under fire from the enemy soldier, Juba, where Matthews is shot and badly injured. Together, separated only by a crumbling wall, Matthews and Isaac must figure out a way to outsmart their enemy or face certain death.
Danny Boyle uses all the creative tricks to ensure this survival against all odds tale is never less than gripping.
