After receiving wide critical acclaim for his first film seven years before, writer-director Benjamin is stricken by anxiety and neurosis over his creative aptitudes as he is about to premiere his second feature. He is also unable to keep his romantic relationships afloat, masking his fear of intimacy under an incredibly talkative and cynical personality, all of which he shares with his aspiring stand-up comedian and equally outcast best friend. When he meets confident French singer Noah and a romance develops between them, Benjamin is forced to face up to his own emotional vulnerability. This uplifting comedy provides insight into the difficulties of the artistic process and of the emotional journeys faced by young adults every day.
