Synopsis

A pristine teacup and a pile of sugar lumps inspire a story set in an enchanted winter wonderland, where animation brings to life the adventures of a mother and child made of sugar. To the tune of Katie Melua’s swooping song ‘Perfect World’, the pair play and explore the glittering frozen landscape, meeting a kindly bear and frosted reindeers. The animation is infused with what the filmmakers call ‘casual fantasy’, in which love and a gentle everyday magic triumph over fear.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
