Few tales of adventure can be quite so dramatic - or so ultimately tragic - as this movie version of the story of Robert Falcon Scott, the British explorer who set out in 1910 to become the first man to reach the South Pole. Retracing the perilous journey of Scott and his men as they trekked towards what has always been considered the harshest and most dangerous place on earth, the film paints a stunningly authentic picture of both the hardship endured by the group and the terrible beauty of Antarctica.
Based on a true story, this sad drama sees a young man drop out of college and journey across ths US and on deep into the Alaskan wilderness.
