Artist Film, Documentary
Highly unusual and equally original, Gallivant is an amazing journey through (or, in fact, around) modern Britain. The film follows director Andrew Kotting as he travels the 6000 miles of the British coastline with his daughter Eden and grandmother Gladys in tow. Starting out in Bexhill-on-Sea and then moving clockwise around the county, Kotting films whatever comes their way, be it passing locals singing sea shanties, or Gladys interrupting the film to reminisce about the past. If you're thinking that Gallivant doesn't sound like anything else you've ever seen, you're probably right.
Genuinely unlike any other British film you will have ever seen, This Filthy Earth shows the English countryside as a place full of brutality.
