French (English subtitles)
The title of this film is usually translated as "band of outsiders" - but the two young men and a woman who make up the little gang are in exile from French society by their own choosing. Obsessed by old American gangster films, they set out on a life of crime undeterred by the fact that they are, for the most part, terrible at it. The results on-screen are fun, moody and (self-consciously) very cool, the film mocking itself at the same time as it struts its hipster stuff.
A petty thief who models himself on Humphrey Bogart hides out in Paris after killing a cop. Sharp and sophisticated, legendary French Cinema.
