Drama, Period and Historical
A Christmas spent with the family can often lead to arguments, but this period drama takes hostilities to an extreme. Set in the year 1183, it focuses on Henry II of England, who brings together his family to decide who will succeed him as king. Henry's three sons each want the crown for themselves - but his decision is complicated further by the plotting of his wife, his mistress and her brother, the King of France. It's a superbly acted film that has a wonderful cast led by Peter O'Toole and screen icon Katharine Hepburn as warring couple Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine.
