Comedy, Drama, Romance
As the title implies, this Woody Allen comedy is partly a tribute to the area of New York where the writer, actor, and director has lived most of his life (although he was actually born and raised across the river in Brooklyn). The plot is about Isaac, a middle-aged man played by Allen who's involved both with his best friend's lover and a 17-year-old girl. And then there's his ex-wife, who is in the process of writing a brutally honest book about their marriage. Manhattan features a host of terrific one-liners, as well as stunning black-and-white footage of New York City.
Contemporary musical set in Ireland featuring a Dublin busker and a Czech immigrant.
