In this animated sci-fi fantasy, Japanese schoolgirl Makoto has an accident in the science lab, which leads her to discover that she can now travel through time. Initially she uses her powers for silly, trivial things, but the more she leaps back and forth, the more complicated her life, and the more serious the consequences of her actions, become. This 'anime' is a visual treat with a wildly imaginative twisty-turny plot, and in Makoto it has a lovably gawky heroine who you're rooting for throughout all her peculiar adventures. (This film was originally made in Japanese, but has been dubbed into English.)
Robin Hood, Napoleon and the passengers of the Titanic are just some of the characters encountered in this time-travelling adventure.
