This is the first "proper" gangster film that I have watched, and my verdict? Well, it was really rather good! The combination of the strength of acting with the eye popping cinematography made this film what it is, stunning. Roert De Niro plays the overly nasty Al Capone (for all intensive purposes, the baddy) with ease, whilst Kevin Costner (Elliot Ness) and the legend that is Sean Connery (Malone) join together to play "the Untouchables". For some, I could see how this film could seem to be just another gangster film, but for me it was a classic, that I would happily recommend to others, as it is one of the greats.
