I didn't watch this in Filmclub, but i did watch it in history, when studying the racial prejudice towards black americans. Picture the scene, sitting in a classroom, half asleep, when all of a sudden there is a gunshot from the film, everyone jumps out of there skin and gets what could be the fright of there lives! Though I did find this film to be very educational, and very interesting, but heartbreaking at the same time.
