Matchstick men follows two con artists, who scam families out of thousands by selling them wonderful products at bargain prices... Little do they know what they are being sold is worth nothing and doesn't work. Roy Waller (Nicolas Cage), one of the con artists has a serious obsessive compulsive disorder. One day loses his medication so has to visit a psychiatrist to get more of these pills, as his "supplier" has left town. He decides to visit a psychiatrist, who, unfortunately has to talk to roy before prescribing any drugs. Through the talk roy tells of a daughter he never knew. He decides to find her. upon meeting his crafty 14 year old, he uses her as a scamming partner after reluctantly telling her his secret. But can they keep cheating people out of money before things get serious?...
