Diary of a wimpy kid 2 is one of my all-time favourite films. I was desperate to see it because I have read the whole series of books and I was curious to find out how good the films were too. In the past,I have heard people say that the books are better than the films but that isn't true in this case because I savoured both. I adore it because not only were there moments that made me giggle, but there were heart-warming parts (also). In addition, this movie may seem just comical and crazy, but it has an emotional side to it too that sends out several great messages i.e. never lie and always respect your family even though you may not get along with them all the time. I could explain the whole storyline but I don't want to give too much away, so I will just give an overview of what happens. Greg, the main character, is a boy whose brother (Rodrick) has been irritating him. Furthermore, he has a crush on Holly Hills, the new girl, and he tries his best to impress her. Throughout the film Greg and Rodrick's relationship grows and even though I don't have any siblings myself I can still relate to how Greg feels. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this film more than the first and that doesn't happen to me often. Overall, it goes without saying that this extremely amusing motion picture deserves 5 stars and I highly recommend it for families!
