Sherlock Holmes; A Game Of Shadows is an appalling sequel to one of the best films ever made. It lacked detail and thoroughness and it was missing its well applauded intelligence from the first film. It loses nearly all of its spectacular qualities including Sherlock Holmes himself. It was overstocked with unrealistic action, Holmes seemed to have the stamina of three Olympic long distance cyclists and the fighting skills of a ninja which is easily watchable but not quite fathomable.

The plot was interesting if briefed, but was poorly executed and trailed off at least once every scene. It also was rushed where it should not have been and dragged on where it could have been fast and exiting.

In the first film, it had a very clever and unique way of explaining Holmes' intelligence, which I can not give away. All I will say is that it was very impressively executed in the first film, but only sometimes in the sequel.

Dr Watson is well portrayed by Jude Law as the well mannered English gentlemen, but the only thing keeping Sherlock Holmes himself is the script as sometimes Robert Downey Jr gets overly confident and thinks that anything goes. As for humor, they were trying too hard but it did make me laugh on the off chance.

Overall, the only reason worth watching it is that of the important plot information it opens up for a new film, but other than that, that's two hours of my life i will never get back.
