Great martial arts sword fighting action. When I watched this film I could see where The Matrix (the sword-fighting) and Kung Fu Panda (the steps to the Jade Palace) had come from. Great plot. Great scenery. What more does a movie need? Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was originally in Chinese so it had to be dubbed into English for us to watch it. At the beginning my sister and I ended up having a debate whether or not it was dubbed or not. The film was directed by Ang Lee who also directed Life of Pi. The sword fighting was so good it was probably acted in a slow/normal pace and then was played faster in the film to make it look impressive and realistic. When a magical jade sword gets stolen a spectacular adventure through China begins. A dangerous assassin is on the loose and they need to retrieve the sword A.S.A.P. Overall this film has intense action, great shots of the landscape of China, the actors and actresses took their job seriously which lead to an outstanding movie, an extraordinary storyline which was interesting and gripping and the affects were amazing when they were gliding so all of this leads to the fact that I will give the film 5/5. This film should defiantly be first on the list of films for people who love martial arts films and love action and adventure packed films.
