A well acted, bittersweet coming of age tale which treats serious issues with admirable compassion.

My girl is a touching PG about a girl called Vada who’s Dad is a funeral organiser. Shelly the make up artist who makes the dead people look pretty or handsome is having suspicions on why Vada is acting very strange when she gets out the basement full of dead people after she is locked in there accidently by Shelly herself. Then she comes up with a theory that Vada is confused about death. Sadly Vada’s friend called Thomas was very unlucky when he goes to find something that is really precious to Vada.As I say many times it takes a lot for me to cry during a movie, although I didn’t cry I felt like I needed a hug.

This film was made in the 1990’s so mainly all the child actors are around 20-22 now so I am very glad they made a my girl 2 before it was too late. I am really glad my best friend recommended this film as it is brilliant and you should really watch it.If you do take my word for it and watch my girl I recommend something to hug and a tissue. So I am really proud to give my girl 5 stars at it rightfully deserves.
