The hobbit the desolation of smaug takes place shortly after an unexpected journey. They are still on the run and are still on there journey to retake the misty mountain from the dragon smaug. The goods. The sound. It is so pure and the music is brilliant. The story was amazing (thanks to j.r.r tolkin) and how it is filmed is spectacular. Also if you have ever watched sherlock then you will get this. Benedict Cumberbatch plays smaug (and the necromancer) and martin freeman plays bilbo. You figure out the rest.
The bad. What bad. Yes the end was anoying and yes now we have to wait a hole year. And? Thats film for you. The original plan was to make it into 1 film maybe 2 but they get more money!
Also (You will only get this if you have seen the lord of the rings) when the dwarfs get captured by the elves one of them is called legolas. He searches them and one of the dwarfs has a locket with 2 peoples portrates. Legolas asked him "And who is this hideous brute?" and he said "Thats my wife" And then legolas asked him "And what is this? Some fattend goblin mutant" and the dwarf said "That's my son! His name is gilmli!"
Over all I give the hobbit the desolation of smaug 10/10 and I am realy looking foawerd to the finaly
