Moulin Rouge! (2001)

I thought this movie was okay. For the first half of the movie, things were extremely cheesy with the characters and songs, but then things begin to get serious and you almost forget the first half, as things have taken a sudden turn. I didn't like the beginning of the movie because I think it gave away to much, as the main character of the story (played by Ewan McGregor), is really upset, and he's writing about the film we are about to see, so you know straight from the beginning that the ending of the movie is going to be a sad one.
