Gaslight is a well acted, well executed Victorian era psycological thriller that still remains a great watch 80 years after its release. Paula is a young woman that has returned to London after many years with her new husband Gregory. What she dosent know is that Gregory is after something, and he is willing to drive her insane to get it. But the question is what is it? And does it have something to do with the murder of Paula's aunt all those years ago? The film does an excelent job of maintaining a tense atmosphere and this has a lot to do with Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer's fantastic acting. Bergman truly portrays Paula's fear that she is going insane and Boyer has a cold and brisk tone that is genuinly frightening. Its a great film that should not be missed!
